Developing Prathom Suksa 6 Students’ Speaking Skills through RolePlay Activities

The purposes of this research was to study students’ abilities in listening and speaking after learning through interactive activities The target group was 16 Prathom 6 students at Ban Hauy Ha School, Bah Hong District, Lamphun Province . The experimental instruments consisted of 3 lesson plans using role play activities and an English speaking evaluation form which was administered to the learners during each lesson plan. The data obtained were analyzed for the mean, standard deviation and percentage. The results showed that all learners’ speaking abilities met the criterion (50%), 37.50 % of them was at the good to excellent level, 50 % of them was at the moderate level and 12.50 % of them was at the fair level after learning through role play activities.
