Applies Effect of Particular Agricultural Practices of Chiangda (Gymnema inodorum Decne.) Production Yield.

The experiment on application of Pak Chiangda production system and model farms production capital assessment was conducted in a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and each with 9 replications. The treatments were: ATRI# local line, Kohka line#6 and Kohka#local line. The sesults indicated that yield and yield components; i.e. fresh weight per shoot, number of shoot per plot and shoot fresh weight per plot; were significantly different among treatments. Fresh weight per shoot of the local line was comparable to that of the ATRI line #6 (4.12 g), but both were significantly greater than that of Kohka # local line (2.63 g) and ATRI# local line (2.56 g). The highest number of shoots per plot (45 m2 ) were found in Khoka line#6 and ATRI line#6 with average of 106.00 and 80.22 shoots, respectively. While, the number of shoots per plot obtained from the Kohka#local line and ATRI#local line were 50.67 and 40.44 shoots, respectively. The Kohka line#6 produced the greatest average shoot fresh weight per plot of 337.64 g and followed in order by the ATRI line #6, Kohka#local line and ATRI#local line with the averages of 269.02,142.33 and 120.89 g., respectively. Other yield components; i.e. shoot length, leaf width and leaf length; were smilar among treatments. Some chemicals composition were found to be statistically different among Pak chiangda lines. The Kohka#local line contained the highest total chlorophylls, chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b with the average values of 32.35, 21.19 and 11.15 mg/100g,respectively; which followed in order by those of the Kohka line#6 ATRI line#6 and ATRI#local line. The phenolic compound content in the ATRI#local line, Kohka#local line, ATRI line#6 and Kohka line#6 were on the averages of 478.90, 460.94, 381.04 and 379.07 mg. gallic acid equivalent/100 g., respectively. Pak chiangda ATRI#local line had the greatest antioxidant compound which followed by Kohka#local line, ATRI line#6 and Kohka line#6 with the respective average values of 187.89, 152.32, 111.96 and 110.39 mg/100 g. On assessing the farm production capital, it was found that durable and ephemeral materials used were the main cost of investment in which the approximated amount was 9,430 Baht per 400 m2 plot.
