A Study of Using Role Play Activities to Enhance the Entrepreneurs’ English Speaking Ability at Ban Tawai, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai

The purposes of this research was to study learners’ abilities in English speaking after learning through role play activities. The target group was 20 entrepreneurs in Ban Tawai, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai.The experimental instruments consisted of 3 lesson plans using role play activities, an English speaking evaluation form which was administered to the learners during each lesson plan. The data obtained were analyzed for the mean, standard deviation and percentage. The results showed that all learners’ speaking abilities met the criterion (50%), 20 % of them was at the excellent level, 35 % of them was at the good level, 40 % of them was at the moderate level and 5 of them was at the fair level after learning through role play activities.
