Approach to Persistent smoking of Female Students in RMUTL

The purposes of this study were to investigate the factors influencing for smoking and find solutions to persistent smoking behaviors of Female Students in RMUTL. The samples were 35 female students selected by purposive sampling. Questionnaires were utilised to collect data, consisting of personal reasons for smoking and smoking behaviors. The data were analyzed by using percentages, means and standard deviation. The results of the study showed that the psychological reasons for smoking were the temptation to try at a high levels and to reduce stress and anxiety at an average levels. For the social factors and environment factors that effected smoking, students started smoking because of persuasion from friends and needed to participate in social at a high levels. At an average levels of imitate of advertising and need attentions from opposite gender. Furthermore, the smoking behaviors would happened when they were at the pubs or discothèque and their parents did not know that they smoke.
